1960s Vintage D Scan Captain Line Teak Convertible Bar Cabinet on Casters

Vintage D Scan Captain Line Teak Convertible Bar Cabinet on Casters

This is a great piece for anyone who likes to entertain but doesn’t want a bar taking over the room.

It’s a solid teak cabinet by D Scan from their Captain Line, Scandinavian modern style.

The D-Scan tag is still inside one of the little trays. As well as the Captain Line

The front folds down into a serving surface, with two small teak trays sitting on the lid.

Behind it is an open back where you can stage bottles and glasses.

Under the lid are four little drawers with finger holes, perfect for bar tools, corks, and napkins.

Open the two doors and you’ll find a nine bottle wine grid, adjustable shelves, and a roomy open compartment.

Pull the two side leaves out and the top stretches to about 75 inches, so it’s easy to set up for a party. When you’re done, slide them back in and roll it into a corner.

The craftsmanship is the real draw. The corners are finished with box joints, the top has a butcher block look, and the edges are rounded and soft to the touch.

Size about 46″ H x 40″ W x 17″ D closed, and about 75″ W with both leaves out (17.5″ each)

Condition: Good vintage shape with honest wear. There are water rings on the inside shelf, scratches and scuffs on the sides and back (including the lower back corner), light wear on the top, and one scratch on a leaf. One of the lower drawers clip is broken for the push button system

Everything works: doors, drawers, leaves, and casters.
